1 John 2: 13 – 14
13I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. 14I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
Family is God’s idea and a united family, wins together. The Ministry’s guiding purpose is the implementation of the Intervention Plan for the Pillar of Family whose mission and vision are as follows:
To populate the kingdom of God with God fearing families.
To Impact Social System of the metropolitan life so that the God Fearing Family Unit is Prioritized.
The ECC Couples Ministry exists to fulfil the ECC vision through Godly marriages and families. We believe that marriage and family were established by God, for a purpose, and that marriage represents the Great Mystery similar to the relationship between Christ and His church.
Ephesians 5:30-32 NKJ says For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
It is the desire of the ECC Couples Ministry that every marriage should represent this Great Mystery and unity bound by the cords of love which cannot be broken. When families fear God, a righteous offspring becomes the fruit thereof, ultimately resulting in God fearing communities.
ECC strives to equip the families in the church to lead prosperous Godly lives through the life transforming Word of God and teachings. Families are encouraged to pursue balanced lifestyles which glorify God. To know more about the ministry and related activities kindly contact the Church office. One of the key focus areas in the implementation of the G12 vision in Emmanuel Christian Church is the mobilization of young people through evangelism. We believe that young people have an important role to play in the body of Christ. History has demonstrated that it is the young people who have always been at the forefront in bringing about change in world events.
In the book of 1 Samuel 17:1-50, it was the young David who valiantly rose to the occasion to take on the Philistine giant Goliath during one of the battles between Israel and the Philistines. By challenging the status quo, the young man delivered his nation and took away the reproach and shame from his people.
The aim of the Youth and Young Adult ministry is to stir up and activate young people for evangelism in line with the Word of God in the book of 2 Timothy 4:5, and thereby create a movement inspired by bold, young people who are not afraid to win souls and make disciples in the city according to Matthew 28:19.
Through intense prayer, evangelism, and training, young people are equipped to rise up for Jesus and shake up things in their spheres of influence. Youth services are held every Friday from 18h00.

The transformation between Child and Adult phase can be confusing and lonely at times. The adolescent stage of ones life is often associated with a lot of learning, exploring, seeking identity and understanding the basics of life. The teen stage presents a need for being independent even though one is still dependent on others for many things. It is against this background that we at ECC have taken it upon ourselves to take this exploratory journey together with the teens in the church.
The Emmanuel Christian Church Teens Ministry is a transition ministry where Teenagers aged between 13 and 19 years are taught about the Word of God and its application in life. In the same manner that the Apostle Paul mentored the young Timothy and instructed him to live an exemplary life before his peers and those that were older than him - 1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity; the ECC Teens’ Ministry sessions are geared towards moulding the teenagers in the church into young disciples, after the pattern of Jesus Christ.
A disciplined and discipled teen is a spiritually effective adult. The ministry offers spiritually stimulating sessions which include:
Services take place on Sunday mornings. For more information regarding the ECC Teens Ministry and related activities, please contact the church office.
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus Christ gave this commandment to His disciples: Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
As part of heeding the Lord Jesus command regarding the children, ECC hosts Children’s ministries in all the campuses. Exciting, educational, interactive, mental and physically stimulating activities are offered in the Children’s church ministry for age groups 5 to 12 years.
In line with the G12 vision, the children are taught the importance of winning souls, prayer, fasting, and also to nurture their God given talents and Spiritual gifts. All the ministry activities including drama, dance, music, and annual camp are linked to the ECC monthly themes to stimulate learning in a fun way.
Classes are coordinated by well trained teachers, child minders and leaders in the ministry. To enlist your child for the Children’s church ministry, kindly contact the Church office.
